Former Dream
Syndicate guitarist Karl Precoda formed Last Days of May in the mid-nineties.
Based in southwestern Virginia, Last Days of May incorporate the finer
points of improvisational neo-psych rock into cohesive and spellbinding
music.
Last Days
of May's self-titled debut album was released in 1997 on the No-Fi
label. Their second album, Radiant Black Mind, came out on
Squealer in 2001, and in 2002, Squealer released Last Days of May's
third album, Inner System Blues.
Their latest
release, The First 7 Billion
Miles, marks a departure from the rock basis of previous efforts
and explores an extended drone with sublime results.
Last Days
of May are Karl Precoda, Thomas Howard, and James Ralston.
